Description

2013-P SD WDDR-021 is a doubled die reverse on the 2013-P Mount Rushmore National Memorial quarter (South Dakota) in the America the Beautiful series, cataloged by the Wexler team. The doubling is on the lower nose of Thomas Jefferson. Obverse Stage A has a gouge right of the Y in LIBERTY and a small gouge over the R in TRUST. On Obverse Stage B the Stage A markers may or may not show, and a small gouge (dot) lies WNW of the mint mark. On the reverse, Stage A has a gouge on Jefferson's upper left eyelid. On Reverse Stage B that marker may or may not show, and a crack runs north from the dangling worker's right foot. George W. Powell, Jr. submitted Stage A and USMC60 Stage B. Wexler lists no cross-references.
