The 2011 (P) Presidential Dollar - James Garfield, Position B is a dollar produced at the Philadelphia Mint as part of the Presidential Dollars 2007 to Date series. The U.S. Mint produced 6.0 million examples, making this ranked 5th of 16 mint variants by mintage, with 2% of production. The obverse features rotating portraits of each U.S. president in order of service, released four per year and the reverse displays the Statue of Liberty. Andrew Johnson, Grant, Hayes, and Garfield were released β€” the final year Presidential Dollars were produced for general circulation. A government audit found over $1 billion in unwanted dollar coins stockpiled in Federal Reserve vaults. Struck at the original U.S. Mint facility, in continuous operation since 1792. Estimated market value ranges from $1 to $14 depending on grade and condition.
