2009 (P) District of Columbia Quarter - Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-009

Description

2009-P DC WDDR-009 is a doubled die reverse on the 2009-P District of Columbia quarter, cataloged by the Wexler team. The doubling is on the E of ELLINGTON, on its left side. On the obverse, right of the N of IN lies a small round gouge (dot), and another sits just right of the top of the queue's ribbon. On the reverse, a short vertical scratch lies left of the C of COLUMBIA near its top, a second one sits near the rim over that C, and small gouges lie to the right of the R in FOR, up high. Steven Bernatowicz submitted the variety. Crawford lists it as CDDR-007.
