Description

Very strong spread to the East creates an extra cuff and coat sleeve intersecting the first black piano key on DDR-013, a striking doubled die reverse on the 2009 DC Quarter honoring Duke Ellington. The DC Quarter's reverse design, featuring Ellington seated at a piano, provided design elements for doubled die varieties — musical instruments, clothing details, and figure poses that had never before appeared on a United States quarter.
