2009 (P) District of Columbia Quarter - Doubled Die Reverse DDR-011

Description

2009-P DC DDR-011 is a doubled die reverse on the 2009-P District of Columbia quarter, cataloged by VarietyVista. A very strong spread to the southwest shows on the E of ELLINGTON. VarietyVista also gives it as 11-R-VIII, with chart numbers UVC-1778 and DMR-013. Stage A, an early die state (EDS), is unconfirmed. Stage B shows a die crack heading north from the top of the piano lid and a die chip in the W of the designer's initials WC, both marked MDS (middle die state). Also listed at Stage B are depressions under the piano bench, a die chip between the ring finger and small finger of the right hand, a die crack on the forehead and another on the nose.
