Description

2008-P AK WDDO-001 is a doubled die obverse on the 2008-P Alaska state quarter, cataloged by the Wexler team. The doubling is on the earlobe's underside. Obverse markers: a gouge near the rim over the first S of STATES; a small gouge below the A and M of AMERICA, between their bases; a small round gouge (dot) inside the O of OF, low down; a chip on the upper cheek right of the nose; a crack heading northeast from the eyebrow's front; and a crack through the upper part of the designer's initials. On the reverse, small gouges lie under the D of LAND. Steven Bernatowicz submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
