Description

Doubling shows on the underside of Washington’s earlobe. Die Markers: Obverse: Die crack across the base of the bust. Small die gouge left of the bottom of the E in STATES. Die gouge between the R and I in AMERICA. Two die gouges right of the C in AMERICA. Small die gouge far above the GO in GOD. Reverse: Die pitting through the 89 in 1889. Three strong E/W die scratches through the STA in STATE. Die gouge between the H and I in WASHINGTON. Die gouge between the 1 and 8 in 1889.
