Error
Description
A partial extra earlobe can be found just below the bottom of the ear. Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: A die gouge can be found above the center of the W in WE. A short die scratch runs north from the lower horizontal bar of the F in OF. A die gouge can be found above the 1st L in DOLLAR. A die crack runs across the base of the bust and through the upper designer’s initials. A pre-die crack depression runs NE from the front of the eyebrow into the forehead. Obverse Stage B: A die gouge can be found to the left of the center of the I in AMERICA. A die gouge can be found SSW of the 2nd T in TRUST. A die gouge can be found north of the horizontal bar of the 1st L in DOLLAR. Die clash marks can be found to the right of the bottom of the ear and at the upper center of the neck. The pre-die crack depression from the eyebrow into the forehead is now a die crack. Reverse Stage A: A die scratch runs from the salmon’s mouth to the lower left side of the 9 in 1889. Reverse Stage B: A die gouge can be found below the right side of the W in WASHINGTON. Three nearly parallel die scratches run from SW to NE above the peak of Mt. Rainier. A die scratch runs NE from the top of the 4th E in EVERGREEN. Die clash marks can be found above the 1st E in EVERGREEN.
