2004 (D) Wisconsin State Quarter - Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-001

Description

2004-D WI WDDR-001 is a doubled die reverse on the 2004-D Wisconsin state quarter, cataloged by the Wexler team. The doubling is on the cow's left nostril. On the obverse, a small gouge sits right of the N of IN near its top, and another lies right of the mint mark near its base. Reverse markers: a gouge just over the cheese on its right side; a vertical gouge on the N of UNUM, at its top; and a gouge left of the first U of UNUM, low down. Steven Bernatowicz submitted the variety. Crawford lists it as CDDR-001, and CONECA as 1-R-VIII.
