2004 (D) Lincoln Memorial Cent - Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-010

Description

2004-D WDDR-010 is a doubled die reverse on the 2004-D Lincoln Memorial cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. Doubling shows on the right sides of the leftmost letters of EPU (E PLURIBUS UNUM), the left dots are stretched out, and the Memorial floor is doubled in bays 1 through 5. On the obverse, a gouge sits just under the upright bar of the 4, and a small gouge lies over the D mint mark toward its left side. On the reverse, three gouges are right of the middle of the T in CENT, a short upright scratch is right of the lower N in CENT, and a small gouge lies at the base of the second bay. Bruce W. Baker submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
