Description

Strong extra thickness shows on USA, EPU, the dots, the Memorial steps which are extremely thick and wavy, the statue, the designer’s initials, and slightly on ONE CENT. Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: A small die gouge can be found at the rim above the left side of the N of IN. A die gouge can be found on the front fold of hair just above the forehead. Obverse Stage B: A die gouge can be found just below the left side of the D in GOD. A die gouge can be found below the RT of LIBERTY. Reverse Stage A: The field next to the rim from 10:00 CW to 2:00 shows a strong depression that is evidence of a strongly tilted hub or die that moved back into proper alignment at some point during the hubbing. A die gouge (dot) can be found in the lower 11th bay. Reverse Stage B: A die chip can be found in the lower E of EPU. A die chip can be found on the top left side of the 2nd column. A die crack and die chip can be found on the Memorial roof north of the 2nd bay. Obverse Stage A:
