2000 (P) Roosevelt Dime - Type I Counter Clash CCLTI-10C-2000-01

Description

CCL(TI)-10c-2000-01 is a Type I counter clash on a 2000-P Roosevelt dime, cataloged by Mad Die Clashes. On the obverse, clash marks from the olive branch stem sit in front of the forehead and, under the olive, before the lips. The tip of the 2 and the base of the portrait were also carried back onto the obverse die. The reverse die shows clashes of the portrait outline. The dies clashed twice out of alignment; MDC's approximate overlay shows the first clash in green and the second in yellow. The first clash left deep enough impressions of the opposing die in places that, when the dies shifted and met again, some of those elements were brought back, producing the Type I counter clash.
