Description
Doubling shows on the right side of the statue’s legs. Die Markers: Obverse: A short die gouge extends WSW from the upper left of the I in LIBERTY. A small die gouge can be found to the right of the bottom of the B in LIBERTY. A die gouge can be found just under the left side of the O of GOD. Die gouges can be found above the left and right sides of the D mint mark. A die gouge touches the front of the vest WSW of the D mint mark. Reverse: Feeder finger scratches run from SW to NE below the U in UNITED and NE from the top right of the N in UNITED. Feeder finger scratches run from NW to SE between the bottom of the Memorial and the O in ONE. Several die gouges can be found to the right of the lower 12th Memorial column. Two die gouges can be found just below the right end of the Memorial. A small die gouge can be found between the upper C and E of CENT. Obverse:
