1991 (D) Lincoln Memorial Cent - Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-003

Description

1991-D WDDR-003 is a doubled die reverse on the 1991-D Lincoln Memorial cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. A spread toward the rim shows on ONE CENT, on the E, dot and P of E PLURIBUS UNUM, on the shrubbery tops along the Memorial bases, and to a slight degree on the designer's initials. On the obverse, a small gouge sits under the E in LIBERTY, on its left side, another lies left of the lower N in IN, and one more is above the right side of the first 9 of the date. On the reverse, a gouge sits inside the lower N of UNITED, and a short vertical gouge lies right of the upper S in PLURIBUS. William Slaughter submitted the variety. Its Coppercoins number is 1991D-1DR-001.
