Description
The 1980 (D) Lincoln Memorial Cent was struck at the Denver Mint as a cent in the Lincoln Memorial Cents 1959-2008 series. The obverse features Abraham Lincoln facing right and the reverse displays the Lincoln Memorial building in Washington, D.C. Philadelphia cents remained without a "P" mint mark — a tradition unique to the denomination — even as other coins received it. The Denver Mint, which grew from an 1860s gold rush assay office, has served as a major production facility since 1906. Estimated market value ranges from $0 to $1 depending on grade and condition.
