Williams's special reverse design featuring the Liberty Bell superimposed against the Moon. The Bicentennial coinage program — encompassing the quarter, half dollar, and dollar — replaced the standard reverses with commemorative designs bearing the dual date 1776-1976, and all were struck during both 1975 and 1976 with no coins carrying a 1975 date.
