1972 Eisenhower Dollar - Type 3 - Typical Die Clash TDC-100C-1972-01-TYPE-III
Error
Description
TDC-100c-1972-01 (Type III) is a typical die clash on a 1972 Eisenhower dollar with the Type 3 reverse, cataloged by Mad Die Clashes. It is a simple clash. Ike's forehead carries the talon mark, the usual clash for this series. The area under his chin looks abraded, perhaps to remove a clash mark. On the reverse, the top of Ike's head left a mark just above the AR of DOLLAR. The coin also has a doubled die reverse, with notching visible on AMERICA, ONE DOLLAR, the stars and some of the craters.
