Description
Class II, Distorted Hub DoublingA close spread toward the center shows on LIBERTY, the star, and the date, decreasing from left to right. An extremely close spread shows on GOD WE TRUST, increasing from left to right. Close doubling shows on the designers initials. Die markers: Obverse: Strong die gouge from upper right portion of E of WE to rim; several diagonal die scratches on front of Jefferson's coat between neck and rim. Mintmark is a RPM - S/S South showing on upper loop. Reverse: The reverse is a doubled die listed as 1971-S Pr 5c WDDR-019.
