Description

A Class II spread towards the center shows on USA, the stars, and EPU. The strongest spread can be found at the top of the reverse. Die Markers: Obverse: The obverse of this variety is also a doubled die listed as 1971-S $1 WDDO-002. Reverse: This doubled die is on the scarce "Four Island" reverse variety. A die scratch runs SSW from between the A and T of STATES. A die scratch runs SSE from the bottom of the 1st U in PLURIBUS through the N in UNUM. A die scratch runs NE from the top right of the M in UNUM through the 2nd U in PLURIBUS. A die scratch runs NE from the top left leave at the left end of the olive branch. Obverse:
