Description
This 1970-S Lincoln Memorial Cent (Proof, Small Date) doubled die obverse, WDDO-006, is cataloged by Wexler (doubleddie.com) as 1970-S 1¢ Pr WDDO-006. A clean Class I counterclockwise spread shows on LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST and the date. Obverse die markers: a short die gouge at the rim above the first T in TRUST, several short die gouges extending from the rim below the bust, and a short die gouge extending from the rim to the left of the base of the shoulder. Reverse: a short die scratch runs parallel to the rim above the T in UNITED. Submitted by Michael J. Nevin. Cross-reference: Crawford CDDO-010.
