Description
1969-D WDDR-001 is a doubled die reverse on the 1969-D Kennedy half dollar, cataloged by the Wexler team. A counterclockwise (CCW) spread shows on every letter of USA (UNITED STATES OF AMERICA) and HALF DOLLAR, on every star in the circle and below the clouds, and on the rays. The obverse of this coin is WDDO-001. On the reverse, the eagle's right wing shows a die clash between its bottom feathers and the lower right leaf. Left of the L in HALF is a vertical scratch, and another vertical scratch runs between DOLLAR's two Ls. Jody D. Davis submitted the variety, and CONECA lists it as 10-R-I.
