The 1967 Doubled Die Obverse DDO-009 is a doubled die obverse (DDO) variety, where a misalignment during the die hubbing process created visible doubling on the obverse design elements. This variety was discovered on the 1967 SMS Kennedy Half Dollar, part of the Kennedy Half Dollars Silver Clad 1965-1970 series. Die markers: UVC-329 DMR-020 Stage A: Light die scratches in the back of the head – EDS Medium sized die gouge East of the clouds – EDS Stage B: Obverse and Reverse are MDS Stage C: LDS (unconfirmed).
