Description
1964 WDDR-002 is a doubled die reverse on the 1964 Washington quarter, cataloged by the Wexler team. A strong spread toward the center appears on the wreath and QUARTER DOLLAR. On the obverse, a crack crosses the bust's base and enters the lower queue. On the reverse, just left of the eagle's right talons, a scratch heads north from the arrows. Joe Feld submitted the variety. CONECA lists it as 2-R-II+VI, and its Cherrypickers number is FS-25-1964-802 (024.5). Wexler includes it in its "Best Of" varieties.
