Description

Class I CCW spread on USA, EPU, the flames at the top of the torch, the outer most oak leaves, and ONE DIME. The strongest spread is on the right half of the reverse. Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: Blunt tail 9. Strong die clash marks on the upper part of the nose. Obverse Stage B: New obverse die. Blunt tail 9. SSW/NNE die scratch scratch to the right of and below the 2nd T in TRUST. Other die scratches can be found throughout the obverse. Obverse Stage C: Same as Stage B. Reverse Stage A: A short die gouge extends WSW from the inside of the lower right leg of the A in STATES. Numerous fine N/S die scratches run throughout the reverse. Reverse Stage B: A die gouge can be found between the upper D and I in DIME. Heavier die scratches run throughout the reverse. Reverse Stage C: Tripled die clash marks run through the PLU of PLURIBUS.
