Description

Among the most complex doubled die varieties in the first-year Kennedy Half Dollar series, the 1964-D DDO-014 exhibits a light triple spread — three distinct hub impressions — visible on IN GOD WE TRUST, the date, and the L and Y of LIBERTY. Attributed by VarietyVista as UVC-319 with die marriage DMR-023, this variety pairs with the Flared G reverse die variant (RDV-002). Both obverse and reverse appear in early die state, with mid and late states unconfirmed. Triple-impression doubled dies are significantly less common than standard two-impression varieties, as the die received three separate and slightly misaligned impressions from the hub during manufacture.
