The partial spread on PLURIBUS, affecting only the E PLU portion while leaving the remaining letters unaffected, suggests the hub displacement tapered across the die face with sufficient shift to manifest on the left side of the inscription but attenuating before reaching the right. Die markers UVC-405 and DMR-012 identify this variety within the VarietyVista system. Three die stages are documented: Stage A at Early Die State captures the doubling at its sharpest, while Stages B and C at Mid and Late Die State remain unconfirmed.
