Description
1963 WDDR-029 is a doubled die reverse on the 1963 proof Roosevelt dime, cataloged by the Wexler team. UNITE of UNITED shows a very close spread toward the center. On the obverse, a N/S scratch sits in the field midway between the rim and the designer's initials, and a SSW/NNE scratch lies in the field midway between the rim and TRUST's R. On the reverse, a N/S scratch sits under the right side of UNITED's U, a scratch runs WSW from the upper left of the E of E PLURIBUS UNUM, and a short scratch heads south from the upper left inside of STATES's second T. Mark S. Martin submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
