1963 Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-007

Description

Struck as a proof at the Philadelphia Mint, the 1963 WDDR-007 Roosevelt dime presents a close spread toward the center on USA, ONE DIME, E PLU, and UNUM, with the strongest displacement concentrated on the right side of the reverse. The toward-center directionality means the secondary image sits slightly inward from each primary element, and the right-side emphasis suggests the hub's displacement axis produced its widest separation in that quadrant. Obverse die markers include a small die gouge (dot) to the right of the lower E in LIBERTY. On the reverse, a small die gouge appears above the right side of the R in AMERICA. These paired gouges — one on each side of the coin — provide reliable confirmation of the specific die marriage.
