Description

1963-D WDDO-009 is a doubled die obverse on the 1963-D Lincoln Memorial cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. The doubling is on the date: across the middle of the 3, beneath the lower loop of the 6, within the 9's upper loop, and slightly under the 1. On the obverse, a strong gouge runs northwest from the lower left side of the W in WE. On the reverse, horizontal scratches cross E PLURIBUS UNUM. Frank Baumann submitted the variety. CONECA lists it as 10-O-VIII, and its Coppercoins number is 1963D-1DO-023.
