This variety's reach across multiple text groups and architectural features indicates a hub misalignment that influenced a wide swath of the reverse die, and the inclusion of the Memorial's lower structure among the affected elements is relatively uncommon in the 1960 DDR roster. No noteworthy obverse die markers have been recorded. The reverse carries three die gouges that serve as the primary attribution diagnostics: a short vertical die gouge on the upper right cornice, a small die gouge between the E and N of CENT, and a die gouge to the right of the center of the T in CENT.
