1960 Doubled Die Obverse WDDO-012

Description

Class II, Distorted Hub Doubling     "Best Of" Nickel Doubled Die VarietiesA strong spread toward the center shows on the profile, LIBERTY, the star, the date, IN GOD WE TRUST and slightly on the back of the head. Die Markers: Obverse: Die gouge (dot) in depressed area behind eye; die  scratch on rim from above G of GOD to first T of TRUST. Reverse: Die gouge (dot) well south of E of E PLURIBUS UNUM; three parallel die scratches on upper left corner of building running SW to NE.
