Three slanted die scratches below the F of FIVE and two additional slanted die scratches below VE of FIVE provide the primary reverse die markers, offering confirmation points independent of the close-spread doubling. No significant obverse die markers have been noted. The 1960 Jefferson Nickel was struck at Philadelphia in standard copper-nickel composition.
