Description
1959 WDDR-001 is a doubled die reverse on the 1959 Washington quarter, cataloged by the Wexler team. A close spread toward the center appears on the edges of the tail feathers, the ends of both branches, the lower leaves and QUARTER. On the obverse, light NNW/SSE scratches lie in the field separating the bust from IN GOD WE TRUST. The reverse is the Type B reverse, with SSW/NNE scratches in the space from the lower left wing out to the rim. Whaden Curtis submitted the variety. CONECA lists it as 3-R-II.
