Description

Class II, Distorted Hub DoublingA nice spread toward the center shows on UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, FIVE CENTS, ELLO of MONTICELLO and the right side of the building.  All spreads increase from left to right. Die Markers: Obverse: Die gouge (dot) next to Jefferson’s forehead in field east of ST of TRUST; diagonal die scratch on rim at 7 o’clock. Reverse: Pair of diagonal die scratches inside small right window; die gouge (dot) at bottom of right arch.
