Description

Class II, Distorted Hub DoublingA spread toward the center shows on E PLURIBUS UNUM, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, FIVE CENTS, ELLO of MONTICELLO, and both sides of the building with all spreads increasing from left to right. Serifs on lower portions of UNITED STATES show extremely close tripling.

Die Markers

Obverse: Die gouge (dot) to right of lower portion of second T of TRUST; die gouge (dot) between upper portions of IN and GOD.
Reverse: Die gouge (dot) over center of M of UNUM; strong die scratch next to rim under STA of STATES; die gouge (dot) between T and E of UNITED.
