Error
Description
A bar shows under the horizontal bar of the 4, with a vertical bar present inside the 4. Top curve of 5 is slightly doubled below the curve. Die Markers: Obverse: Stage A: Short die scratch southwest from the upper left I in IN. Die scratch connects upper O and D in GOD. Strong die scratches parallel to the rim below the bust. Die gouge northwest from the upper end of the 9 in the date. Stage B: Die scratches at IN and GOD abraded away. Die crack across the base of the bust above V.D.B. Reverse: Stage A: Die gouges (dots) are present between the upper D in UNITED and S in STATES. Die gouge (dot) below bottom right N in CENT. Short, heavy diagonal die scratch between the right wheat and rim to the right of the top kernel. Stage B: Well abraded die. Die scratch between right wheat and rim nearly gone. Obverse:
