Description

A nice Class II spread towards the center shows on the letters of IN GOD WE TRUST. Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: Circular die scratches around outer obverse. Obverse Stage B: Die scratches weaker. Die chip in upper 4. Obverse Stage C: Die scratches gone. Two die cracks on the forehead and a die crack down the shoulder to the rim. Obverse Stage D: Numerous north to south die scratches in front of and behind the bust. Die cracks are heavier. Reverse Stage A: Die gouge below 2nd S of STATES. Die scratch through center of OF. Reverse Stage B: Die abraded. Die scratch WNE to ESE through lower TED of UNITED. Reverse Stage C: 2nd Reverse – Two die scratches WSW from bottom of 1st S in STATES.
