A very strong Class VIII tilted hub spread produces a portion of the left side of Monticello's steps visible above the NT of MONTICELLO — an area where the extra step segment stands out against the building's foundation line. The FS-801 listing reflects this variety's collectibility and market recognition, placing it in the standard reference for significant die varieties. Obverse die markers include die scratches near the rim above the top of Jefferson's head, while no reverse die markers have been reported beyond the doubling itself.
