Description

Class II, Distorted Hub DoublingA close Class II spread shows on UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, increasing from left to right.  It shows very nice on AMERICA.  A close tripled spread shows on UNUM.  A very close spread shows on CENTS and the second O of MONTICELLO. Die Markers: Obverse: None noted. Reverse: Die dot under E of MONTICELLO; circular die scratch around rim shows best under AMERICA; series of short slanted die gouges in both left and right arches; curving die gouge in center of C of CENTS.
