Description
1953-D WDDR-001 is a doubled die reverse on the 1953-D Franklin half dollar, cataloged by the Wexler team. Extra thickness shows on E PLURIBUS UNUM (EPU), the dots, UNITED and HALF. On the obverse, TRUST's R has a scratch running NE from its upper right. Wexler notes no significant reverse markers. Kendall L. Hall submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
