Description
1952 WDDO-001 is a doubled die obverse on the 1952 Washington quarter, cataloged by the Wexler team. Strong extra thickness appears on the lower queue, IN GOD WE TRUST, the date and LIBERTY. On the obverse, in the field right of the E in WE lies a SW/NE scratch. On the reverse, a scratch heads SW off the T in QUARTER from its upper left, and another heads SW off the middle of the E in QUARTER. Joe Feld submitted the variety. CONECA lists it as 1-O-VI. Wexler includes it in its "Best Of" varieties.
