Collectors cherry-picking 1952-D Washington Quarters should know that every example from this date potentially shows WMHO-001 — a master hub doubling that affected the entire production chain from 1951 through 1954. The clockwise spread pivoting from near 3:00 on IN GOD WE TRUST was introduced at the highest level of the die-making process: the master hub. Because Denver`s working dies all descended from working hubs made by this same master tool, the displacement was structurally unavoidable.
