1950 Roosevelt Dime - Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-001

Description

1950 WDDR-001 is a doubled die reverse on the 1950 Roosevelt dime, cataloged by the Wexler team. Pivoting at 10:00, a medium spread appears on UNUM, DIME, the outer leaves on the right and the right stem. On the obverse, a large gouge lies SE of GOD's D, and a die chip is centered over the W in WE. On the reverse, a scratch runs SW to the torch base from the lower inner leaf on the right-hand side. In the lower torch holder a light die crack runs SE from the left edge, a die chip sits over the upper left of the D in DIME, and another light crack runs SE into the field from the torch base's right side. John A. Wexler submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
