Description

Class II + V, Distorted and Pivoted Hub DoublingA nice Class II spread toward the center shows on E PLURIBUS UNUM, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, FIVE CENTS, ELLO of MONTICELLO and the right side of the building.  All spreads increase from left to right.  A close CW spread shows on E PLURIBUS UNUM. Die Markers: Obverse: Die gouge (dot) on Jefferson’s jaw; die scratch SSE from upper right tip of Y of LIBERTY. Reverse: Diagonal die scratch above small right window at roof line; die gouge to right center of long right window.
