Description
1950-D WDDO-008 is a doubled die obverse on the 1950-D Lincoln Wheat cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. The doubling shows as an extra eyelid beneath the normal one. Obverse markers: a scratch heading SSE from the 0 of the date, starting at its left side; a strong scratch running from above IN to above the G of GOD; and a gouge over the B of LIBERTY. On the reverse, numerous horizontal scratches cross ONE CENT, and a scratch runs NW from the F of OF to the N of UNITED. Brian Ribar submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
