1947 Doubled Die Obverse WDDO-001

Description

A CCW spread shows on LIBERTY, the date, the bottom of the ribbon, the designer’s initials, and slightly on IGWT. Die Markers: Obverse: A die scratch runs SW/NE below the LI of LIBERTY. A die crack runs across the base of the bust. Reverse: A die gouge runs from the E to the R in AMERICA. A die scratch runs north from the O in OF. A die crack runs down the eagle’s right wing.
