Description

Class II, Distorted Hub DoublingA close Class II spread shows on E PLURIBUS UNUM, strongest at 12 o'clock. Extremely close Class II spread shows on AMERICA. Die Markers: Obverse: Three converging die cracks at the top of the head. Thin N/S die crack on the face. Strong NW/SE die scratches in the hair on the back of the head. Thin NW/SE die scratch below the chin. NE/SW die scratches on the knot of the queue. Reverse: WRPM-037. A majority of the doorway and the adjacent windows are abraded away. Thin die crack extends north from the top of the mintmark D to the rim. Thin NW/SE die scratch from the C in MONTICELLO to the EN in CENTS. N/S die scratches above the left roof.
