Description

Class II + VI, Distorted and Distended Hub DoublingVery nice Class II plus Class VI tripling shows on E PLURIBUS UNUM increasing slightly from left to right.  A nice doubled spread shows on UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and FIVE CENTS slightly increasing from left to right.  Doubling also shows on LLO of MONTICELLO. Die Markers: Obverse: Circular die scratches in Jefferson's hair; series of N/S die scratches in field to left of profile. Reverse: Die gouge (dot) to left of P of PLURIBUS; die gouge above left side of M of MONTICELLO near base of building; die gouge (dot) to left of top center semicircular window.
