Description

Class II, Distorted Hub DoublingA spread toward the center shows on E PLURIBUS UNUM, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, FIVE CENTS, ICELLO and most details on the right side of the building.  All spreads increase from left to right. Die Markers: Obverse: Die crack (“spiked head”) through upper hair to rim at 12 o’clock. Reverse: Die scratch NW from upper right portion of second U of PLURIBUS; circular die scratches centered on building show between columns and in field between CENTS and ICELL of MONTICELLO.
