1940 Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-003

Description

Doubling shows on both wheat ears, EPU, the dots, and extra thickness on both stems. Die Markers: Obverse: Die crack across the lower bust. Die scratches run NNE under 19 in the date. Reverse: Die gouge upper left wheat ear. Strong die gouge left of upper E in EPU. Die gouge (dot) right of upper second U in PLURIBUS. Horizontal die scratches through lower first S in STATES and above E in AMERICA.
